About me

I’m Anne. I was born in 1967 and I currently live in the beautiful city of Antwerp in Belgium.

Since my youth, I’m passionate about wellness. I see health as the balance between physical and mental well-being. Therefore, I’ve made it a priority to organize my life around feeling fit and happy.

My favorite sports are running, yoga, swimming and of course… facebuilding. Facebuilding is indeed a form of physical exercise, analogue to bodybuilding. Do you want to know how it works? You can read more about it in the chapter Isometric training.

I practice facial exercise since the age of 29. In the beginning, I studied books and videos on the subject from all over the world. Finally, I selected the best exercises and wrote the Dutch language book ‘Hou je gezicht fit’ (Keep your face fit) in 2001. My new book ‘Keep Your Face Fit’ is an up-to-date version of the initial book.

My lifestyle tools

  • I try to sleep at least 8 hours a night.
  • I avoid stress. This means that I don’t overload my schedule. I don’t feel the need to have done everything and to have been everywhere.
  • I favour the Mediterranean diet, of which the health benefits have been proven by scientific research studies throughout the world. Out of compassion towards animals and to help save the environment, I limit my consumption of animal products.
  • I try to surround myself with people who give me positive energy.
  • In order to prevent premature aging of my skin, I don’t expose my face to UV radiation.
